So, I noticed this post on the front page of “Hacker News”: Ask HN: How can you make a user experience addictive?
The text behind the link asks, What factors and techniques contribute to making a user experience addictive?
My answer: Fuck you.
I have an idea. Instead of getting people addicted to your rinky little web app, why don’t you actually make something useful and be a productive member of society? Go die in a fire, you swiney internet rat.
Yeah, fuck you!
Of course, the thing is, if you asked how to make a gun, or started talking about how to make a nuclear bomb, or asked the optimal way to sexually assault as many New Yorkers as you could in a single day, I would think that was pretty cool. So oh gosh, I’m setting a double standard! You might say that, if you were a moral relativist.
The lesson here is that asking how to make your users addicted is more repulsive than asking how to blow up York Shin City or asking how to get a gun illegally. And I’m not even joking.
